A Uigur man at Kashgar Animal Market | Silk Road Talk (Aug. 10, Wed. 7:30pm)

Tour: Reshaping Contemporary Chinese Art (Aug.14, Sun.4pm)
CCC invites Gao Minglu, curator of the on-going exhibition The Wall: Reshaping Contemporary Chinese Art to guide CCC members and friends in the gallery and explain the works of more than fifty Chinese artists working in a variety of mediums. Gao is assistant Professor in the Department of Art History at the University of Buffalo and a leading authority on contemporary Chinese art. See details below.
Last trip this summer to Inner Mongolian Steppe (Aug.13-14)
The grassland grows more and more enchanting, although the accommodations and caterings become weaker with frequented tourists. While CCC found some alternatives and streamlined the itinerary to allow more fun with less hassle. There are still a few space available for this trip, so sign up ASAP. (The resorts on the Steppe will be closed end of August because of harsh and cold weather and will not open until next June).
