Yangsheng – The Chinese Way of Health Cultivation
Yangsheng literally means “nourishing life”. By nurturing body, mind and spirit in harmony with the rhythm of nature you are able to foster your health and well being.
Traditional Chinese Medicine signifies three different sources of energy that keeps us alive: The air we breathe (qi), the food we eat and the inherited Jing essence we were born with. Jing is “life energy” that we got a limited amount from our parents when we were born. Jing is the main power to help us grow up, develop and get strong. We can take care of this energy and promote our health and well being by Daoist practice of self-care, called Yangsheng.
Practice love and compassion, live in harmony with the laws of nature, and develop mindfulness through cultivating a calm and serene state of mind and care for your body through proper nourishment, rest, relaxation and daily exercise.
China Culture Center Beijing is happy to help and support you with this goals. We therefore invented new tours and classes for this 2010 spring, customized on Yangsheng.
