Dear friends,
CCC will be introducing a “Chinese Lecture Series” focused on Chinese Architecture, Beijing City’s Evolution and Chinese Contemporary History. Through these talks, we hope to provide you with an insight into the main architectural styles of Chinese buildings and China’s urban planning principles, the changes in the capital city of Beijing and last but not least, China’s historical evolution from the late Qing Dynasty to our contemporary era.
History of Chinese Architecture Lecture Series
The University of Kansas, School of Architecture presents a History of Chinese Architecture
A Lecture Series given by Dr. Wang QiJun of China Academy of Fine Arts
Supported by the China Cultural Center of Beijing
A six part lecture series covering the History of Chinese Architecture through an understanding of the major architectural typologies of traditional Chinese buildings and urban planning principles of ancient Chinese cities. Presented every Monday evening from October 31st through December 5th at 7:30pm at the China Cultural Center.
